1000ft roll of 1/2" PEX Tubing with Oxygen Barrier for use in radiant heating applications (in-floor, sub-floor, slab heating, etc.). Certified for use in radiant floor heating applications. 1/2" PEX Tubing with Oxygen Barrier is the most popular size for all radiant floor heating applications due to it's flexibility, light weight and ability to deliver large amounts of heat. Oxygen Barrier PEX Tubing can be installed using either Crimp type connection system (Crimp Tool, Crimp-style PEX Fittings and Copper Crimp Rings) or Clamp/Cinch type connection system (Clamp Tool, Crimp-style PEX Fittings and Stainless Steel Clamps). Also compatible with Push-Fit connection system (such as SharkBite), Viega Press type system and Compression type PEX fittings. 1/2" PEX Tubing with Oxygen Barrier is the most popular size for all radiant floor heating applications due to it's flexibility, light weight and ability to deliver large amounts of heat. According to RPA Standard Guidelines, recommended circuit length for 1/2" PEX tubing is 250-350ft, depending on the application and type of installation. For snow melt applications, use larger PEX tubing sizes, such as 5/8" and 3/4".

We bought this PEX tubing from PexUniverse at a substantial savings over the prices available locally. It was shipped quickly too. We installed it into our garage floor about a month ago and poured the concrete about a week later. To make certain there were no leaks, we pumped about 25lbs of compressed air into the lines before the pour. It's held up fine with the same pressure still in the lines for a few weeks now. It will be awhile before we install the pump and water tank to heat the pipes. I think that we will be happy with this in-floor system heat this winter.
